Amy was a high school English teacher in the Boston area before moving with her husband and daughters to the NH Seacoast. While she grew up dancing and swimming and was generally athletic, fitness did not really “take” in a permanent way until after her first child was born and she joined a Boston area mom/baby fitness community. At that time, she realized the many benefits of fitness and it became part of her daily life. After moving to New Hampshire in 2010, Amy was part of several different gym and training communities and enjoyed many excellent instructors and trainers. She loves water sports, hiking, XC and downhill skiing, and most outdoor activities. In early 2020, Amy and her husband completed a home gym and started training at home. In 2022, Amy decided to become a trainer herself and became a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. In 2024, Amy expanded her expertise in women’s fitness and wellness and became a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist. Amy also holds a BA from the University of Michigan, and Master’s Degrees in English and Teaching from Simmons University.
